The MP for Wellington Central in the 1980s Fran was a Cabinet Minister in the Labour Government best known for the introduction of a Bill that decriminalised homosexuality. In the early 1990s she stood and was elected Mayor of Wellington and in her three-year stint she launched the Absolutely Positively Wellington campaign and simultaneously started the process that would see the Westpac Stadium open in 2000. With a passionate and intense interest in social issue, Fran recognises the potential of Kiwi Can Do and brings a wide range of governance experience to the organisation
