A job in the construction industry can lead you to a lot of career opportunities further down the line. The logical first step you would likely want to take is to complete a building apprenticeship.

Once you have a building or construction job, you can sign up with a training organisation like BCITO to start your building apprenticeship. Now is a perfect time to do this because the government is offering fees free building apprenticeships until 2023.

Later, you may be able to become a building surveyor, a project manager or a foreman. The opportunities in the construction industry are endless!
