Kiwi Can Do is a Work and Income partner specialising in the Construction industry. We are funded by the Ministry of Social Development in support of the Construction Sector Accord.
As an outcomes provider, our aim is to work closely with trusted trade employers to support those wanting to get off the benefit and into sustained employment. Our courses for Work and Income job seekers help Kiwis into a career in the Construction industry.

Work and Income job seekers
Kiwi Can Do recruit Work and Income job seekers from Auckland, Taranaki, Central and Wellington for our courses. We hold Construction trade courses where you can learn skills in Building, Painting, Plastering, Scaffolding and more, as well as Construction Labourer courses where you can gain your Wheels, Tracks & Rollers, Forklift Endorsements or Traffic Control Tickets.
Every week we are selecting fit young Kiwi Work and Income job seekers for our short, sharp, work-ready courses. New job seekers are recruited weekly and will start courses regularly, with the intake based on course and in region. Alongside being a registered job seeker, candidates must be able to pass a drug test.
Get hands-on training from experienced and qualified tradies to prepare you for full-time employment!
We also encourage and support job seekers wanting to gain formal qualifications through the BCITO or other tertiary training.
Course Requirements:
- Class 1 Full Licence for Forklift and Wheels, Tracks & Rollers courses
- Ideally a Class 1 Restricted Licence for Construction Trades and Traffic Control courses
- Reliable transport or your own vehicle
- Willing and able to go into full-time employment
